Hello Rangers,
My name is Adam. I am 17 years old and a junior in high school. Joining the army is something I have always wanted to do since I could walk. My grandfather was assigned to the Green Berets in Vietnam and my uncle was a Ranger during the first gulf war. My uncle has been like my father he is one of my inspirations for becoming a Ranger. I love this country and want to do my best to protect it. I've been preparing for the military since I realized how tough it is and joined the JROTC unit at my high school to help build my leadership abilities. I've gotten in pretty good shape ( 5'6, 158 lb). I hope this website will help me obtain my lifes dream of becoming a Ranger. As soon as I turn 18 in December, Im going to talk with the recruiter. Im soaking up as much info as I can to help prepare me for the military.
thanks a bunch!

Good intro.... glad you want to make the move and giant step into the life of Rangering. This place has more than enough people to help you out along the way. Go talk to a recruited NOW..... as aforementioned, and get involved in the delayed entry program (DEP).... you go one Saturday a month to your recruiting station with all the other guys in it. Your not enlisted or committed to anything at this point. Not only will you have the opportunity to enter the Army as an E-3 (Private First Class), but you will also knock a year off of your inactive reserve time after completing your 4 years active duty.
Best of luck,
Ranger Ford
