Introduction

Post by SmokieD »

Im an early 20's civilian who is very interested in becoming an Army Ranger. I have some college under my belt. My interests are boxing, MMA, physical training, reading, and relaxing to music.

I would love to be ranger because it is an exciting, intense life filled with purpose. It takes a lot for a person to be a ranger pyshically and mentally. I would love to test myself in that magnitude.

My PT stats are mediocre at best, I havent officially tested myself with the Ranger PT standards but so far I have....

When I'm fully rested
-25 Pushups within 45 seconds. I could probably get 49 withing 2 minutes
-Over 59 Situps withinin 2 minutes, possibly.
- My mile is around 6-8, I'll test myself tomarrow on the 2 mile.
- I can do around 3-5 curlups.
I'll re-edit this soon.

Ill get back to reading the vast amount of information on this site from now on rather then posting asking questions that have already been answered. Sorry for the disrespect to you Ranger Heathen in my second post. Thanks for the PM Ranger Copperhead.

The PT results you posted are "probably... possibly... around." You need to be precise. In addition to performing a two mile run, perform the other events as well and post those results. Be sure to read the ROE PM I have sent to you.

25 pushups in 49 seconds?!?

I'm almost 40, fat & lazy & I can do better than that right after getting up in the morning.

Right now your goal is mediocre.

60 pushups in two minutes
57 situps in two minutes
6 curlups
17 minutes 2 mile

Some things were better then expected, some worse. Sorry for the late reply.
