Jump week, here I come...

Ground Week, Tower Week, Jump Week.

Yes, the monotony of their introduction and descriptions of each new block of instruction gets very tedious, however comically you look at it. Glad you have not had one of those weird twist of fate injury interruptions to the course for you. Next up - the fun part of the course.

Now, when you get back to your unit will you be required to wear the maroon beret prior to qualifying for a green one?

well, well, well.

i was asking about you in another thread, brother. good to hear things are going good down there.

so you're gonna be stick pusher, huh? well, when you get out the door and under canopy, pull a quick slip the opposite way of the other jumpers. DZ permitting, of course. that should keep any skysharks from coming close to a mid-air collision with you.

congrats, again brother.

LN-
As soon as you hit the dirt, no matter how crappy your PLF is, you're gonna want to do it again! Enjoy the ride, Bro. Wish I could be there to pin your wings on. Break a Leg!

Good luck LN!

Stickpusher is fun, almost as good as door.

Our unit used to have this 6'6" CWO nicknamed "Lumpy" that always jumped stickpusher. He would plant one foot against the bulkhead, put both hands on the guy in front, and shove for all he was worth. It really sucked being in the middle when Lumpy was in the back.

One time we completely unassed a C130 in about 17 seconds. Guys on the ground with bloody noses after having dbags and bridal loops assy's smack 'em in the face they were so close together. Other guys running across the top of other guy's 'chutes. Crazy stuff. I guess we were lucky nobody got all FUBAR'ed.

I am in ground week and can say that it is fun as hell! We did the 34 foot tower on our 2nd day and will be on the 250 next week.

And as for how hard Airborne is.....ha ha ha....it is a lot of BS like OSUT, but way too much fun to be hard. I actually love it when we get smoked so I can watch the officers and cadets struggle!! I just feel myself getting out of shape because of the painfully slow runs! In fact, I am off to try and keep up my 11min 2 mile.
Anyways, congrats Leatherneck!
