Good foresight to me Bro, cause when O'bama gets in mags and ammo will be non-existent or priced so high we won't be able to afford 'em. :(

Hand guns are like women... you have to find the one that just feels right.

With that said: After checking out the Glock, Smith and XD I decided to go with.... Drum Roll ...... The XD. I like the way the trigger felt on the XD and the overall feel on the XD in my hand. I figured all 3 were good choices but the XD was my choice. Now for the BAD news.

NY ( as some of you know) is one fucked up state when it comes to buying and owning weapons. You can't buy a new handgun that comes with a magazine larger than 10 rounds. The 5in Tactical I wan't is being a motherfucker to find with the 10rd mag's. My guy is trying to get a wholesaler to swap around some 13's with some 10's in one of the kits.

It makes sense to me to have a law like this though..... 10 rounds in a gun is much safer than 13! Thanks Hillary and the rest of the NY Democrat's!

That makes perfect sense. Depending on your shooting abilities and shot placement, you could theoretically, let's see 10 in mag plus 1 in chamber, kill 11 people as opposed to, 14. now if you carry an extra mag 22 as opposed to 28, two extra 33 as opposed 42. Limiting magazine capacity to 10 make the World a much safer place
What a load of shit.

Without even attempting to get into how much tax-dollars were wasted on those particular pieces of legislature, you completely nailed the fundamental idiocy of the "anti-gun" crowd.

Great post, Brother.

I like the way you think bro, but in a rapid reload - you can't put the 11th round in the chamber. So, you're limited to 11 and then 10 and then 10... So, that's even two more less zombies to shoot.

I too chose to recently purchase an XD 40. With the extra capacity magazine, it's a perfect feel (size/weight). After a quick clean & oil, and at 35 feet, my shot group was less than 1" from center. That is a nice handgun!

As far as State laws are concerned, in Utah they're practically giving CCW licenses away and there's no limitation on the magazine capacity providing it doesn't exceed any federal law.

Needless to say, I've loaded up on ammo, extra mags and recently holsters.

Chiming in here in favor of the Glock. The XD magazines don't function as well as the GLock mags when dirty. Plus the aftermarket for Glock is incredible. Pastor, congrats on your new purchase.
