Introduction

Post by Lotto »

Hello, my name is Joe. I am 19 years old, I have a high school diploma and I have worked for Wells Fargo for the past year. It is my desire to become an Army Ranger. I have been reading these forums intensively for the past few months and I'm going to be meeting with a recruiter as soon as possible to start my processing.

Welcome Joe. Give a discription of your current physical exercise regimen. When you talk to the recruiter, have him explain the Army Physical Fitness Test, and administer one. Post your results here when you get your opt 40. You can never start PT too early, given the proper balance of workout. Search the PT threads.

Welcome to the site Joe. Good luck getting your opt 40. Remember it is you that will either take it or take something else. Don't give in.

Ranger Lefty,

Until I have an option 40 contract secured the few posts I make will most certainly be found in this thread alone.

Ranger 42L5V,

I attend Velocity Sports training from 6am-7am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Definitely not enough. I have had an exercise dry spell since I moved away from my MMA gym almost two years ago. I will be tripling my attendance of these "boot camp" classes (morning, aftenoon, evening). I will also put my Gold's Gym membership to use for their treadmills and pull up bars.

My last mile time was my best yet of 6:39 on a stage 1 incline to simulate wind resistance. I have never been a good runner, something I am to change very quickly. I do not have a push up or pull up score, but I am certain they are both lacking in terms of both Ranger standards and my own expectations.

Ranger Ranger Bill, DRM, Ranger rgrking,

Considering I work all weekend I will be going out Monday to the recruiter's office. I will go to a number of different recruiters if I can not get what I want.

Thank you all for welcoming me to the site. Thank you Rangers for having all of this knowledge available.
