Question

Post by RICAMIC »

Hello Rangers and Recruiters. In my introduction i mentioned i have a birth defect that had prevented me from joining the marines some 4 years ago. I have cleft lip and pallet. I understand the whole getting a medical waiver and i tried to do so back in 2004 with the marines. Had multiple doctors notes; still i was denied. My only problem is i don't understand why; guess its because i look different. I can perform and do any task any man in the world can do. With that i was wondering what my chances of getting in really are? Have any of you Rangers or Recruiters ever sent or seen anyone with my defect in a Ranger platoon? And do you think maybe now days they may be a little less strict on it because of the current war and needing people? Sorry for the ramble Rangers; thanks again.

I have seem people with cleft lips in the Army. I know a waiver is required to join, which will probably hinder your chances of an Option 40.

Look into it anyway.
