Rangers,
The title says it all, I entered the DEP today with a 68W Option 40 contract.
I stayed in the hotel up in Syracuse, NY last night and took care of my physical along with the rest of my paperwork today. My recruiter already had my contract reserved for me so all I needed to do was confirm it. Definitely saved me a lot of time.
Talking to a lot of the other guys and girls at MEPS made me realize just how valuable this site is. Most of them were going in completely blind except for what their recruiter had told them, whereas I knew exactly what I was doing after reading these forums for a year.
It's been a long road but I am finally stepping up to the plate and pursuing my dream.
I ship out to Ft. Leonard Wood 20080717 for BCT.
Thanks again Rangers for providing this information.
I got it.

Congrats on the enlistment. Don't ever quit! This is just the beginning of a long and hard road ahead. I wish you luck, but you make your own.
By the way did you hit any of the hotties at MEPs?

Thank you Rangers and Coppherhead.
Ranger rgrking, there was one girl shipping out to Jackson to be a truck driver. How the hell she'll be able to even reach the pedals is beyond me, but I performed my duties and proceeded to hit on her.
Ranger 42L5V, I will take whatever I can get to be prepared for RIP and then some. I know I won't feel too thankful while I'm getting some extra smokings but I know it is all for my benefit. Thank you.

This from a man with only 13 posts. That shows that you read and knew what you wanted. Drive on and never quit!jmil wrote:Talking to a lot of the other guys and girls at MEPS made me realize just how valuable this site is.
