a question about another mos and Rangers

Post by jagged »

i was looking all over the site and didn't find anything on this but my friend just enlisted and he was thinking about Renegotiating his contract to get the Ranger option. he is an Admin specialist but really didn't know what the mos involved until he went to goarmy.com. He decided to keep it and he decided he still wanted the Ranger Option.but i wanted to ask you guys...if he have another mos series other then the 11x series and went for Rangers would he still do all the high speed combat things that Rangers do or would he just do his regular office job, because i would hate for him to get up to his Ranger Batt and think he's gonna do all the high speed stuff but sit in an office all day.i really want to help my friend make the right decisions.
i would be greatful if someone answered this for me. Thanks

I don't know how things may have changed due to war, but his primary job will be in the PAC office doing clerk stuff. He will get to take part in some high speed stuff, but how much and how often depends on several factors. He will still have the same standards to live by and can still go to Ranger School.

Foodboy, there are plenty of people on this board qualified to answer this question. What do you have to contribute to this thread other than  ?
