Same here. I have always wanted it to be by popular vote.
If that was the case Gore would have been prez 2000-2004.
Don't say that in Broward County, Florida!

I will support this when the education system puts more emphasis on personal responsibility within society. Since voter turnout is as low as it has been for the last several years that is a key indicator our education system is failing our youngins on a grand scale.

Sadly, I agree.. :? We have some of the lowest turnout among western nations.

Indeed, I've felt that they are ALL crooks for some time now. It seems one cannot get to the federal level without being in someone's pocket and owing favors. Clinton was pretty bad, but the Republicans are just as tainted.

I am a little on the fence about McCain. I've always liked him, but have issues with his immigration and election funding stance.

I'm still looking at Thompson. I understand why he waited so long to throw his hat in the ring, but I haven't made my mind up on him yet.

I don't suppose we could resurrect Hunter S. Thompson from the grave! Though he was flagrantly anti-republican, I still kind of liked a lot of what he stood for!

But again hey what do I know. This crop of candidates make some of my old high school class president elections look downright magnificent. Sorry not really impressed with much here.

If you're a liberal, vote Obama. Please.
A strong obama candidacy will pull votes fom Billery, spliting the Dem/alQueda vote, perhaps placing a Republican in the White House, which currently is the lesser of the evils.

Regardless of who wins, the longer they are in office the more they are like all the others. They tend to gravitate towards the middle.

Disregard my last. Learned a little last night about Duncan Hunter. I agree with his positions. And he is a 'Nam era vet. Did time in the 173rd AND with the 75th Ranger Regiment per his bio.

Conservatives: check him out.

NY city eh?

I just heard Guliano on Hannity (radio) a few days ago and he (Guliano) stated he reduced the welfare rolls by 650,000 during his tenure as Mayor. Besides that, those on welfare could give a shit less who runs for President. Whats more important then where the crack dealer is? Don't aggitate the receipents as they all know where they got to sign for the earned welfare checks.

John Mcain is pretty decent for a Democrat.
