Post your height and weight.
Yes Ranger 42L5V

Height 75 inches 276lbs.

I've dropped a lot of weight over the past year... (I weighted 368.2LBS before the beginning of last school year, August 26th at the doctors...)

I have NO medical conditions in any shape/form... I've been working out routinely every day but Sundays (but if needed I will change that!)...
Dennis is that you ?

If you guys need a DD-214 you can go to a recruiter, tell him to print an SF-180 form, fill it out, and they can order your DD-214 on the spot.

I apologize to adding to the announcement, I was just trying to help you guys out... (Trying to return the favor...)
Garnett, we need to talk. Step back away from your keyboard.

"If you guys..." We are not you guys. You are not one of the guys, yet, either. The DD214 issue was discussed in detail two years ago. (Not a bad reference) -- but is it your place to offer advice. Your job is to sit back. Post only when necessary, and absorb data.

Noticed that you posted your PT results, while I appreciate your honest reporting, you are in very poor shape and almost morbidly obese. I note and applaud your progress, but you have a long way to go. In addition to pushups and situps, I want you to practice the push-away. As in push away from the table; and push-away from the keyboard. Never, never quit!

If you want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right place. But, I remind you again that you are a guest. I also warned you not to abuse our hospitality. For your next task, I want you to sit down and explain in fewer than 250 words why you want to be a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. Please include a discussion of what skill sets you bring to the table. Please complete this task within the next 48 hours (don't rush it. I want you to give this particular thought and insight.).

I’ve always wanted to be a soldier since I was 9 years old. And I want to be one of the best, I just have never realized Army requirements for physical fitness (sadly) until I talked to a recruiter for the very first time in summer of 2006, which is when I began cutting my weight down.

So, let me get this straight.... You've wanted to be the very best soldier since you were 9 years old? And you ballooned to 368 pounds because you did not realize the Army had requirements for physical fitness? That being 'the very best' did not require any disipline on your part?

I'm not sure you even realize the physical and mental requirements of being an Army Ranger yet.

While I applaud your desire to lose weight and serve our great country, I am not yet convinced that you becoming an Airborne Ranger is in your (or our country's) best interests.

Perhaps someday you will prove me wrong.

I'm honestly not trying to criticize, condem or complain here, just making a few observations after reading your four page intro thread.
