Introduction
Hello.
My name is Chris. I sell Interior/Exterior Architectural products in Nevada and Oregon while living in Las Vegas. I am simply an individual who has had a lifelong appreciation for our men and women in the US Armed Forces. In the last 6 years I have become particularly interested in learning as much as I can about SOF.
I want to say thank you for your service to all those who are serving or have served, and I am deeply greatful for the freedom and liberties that you all have afforded to me as an American.
Regards,
Chris

What about 9/11 piqued your interest in SOF?
Understand that I do not wish to ignore your question, however, please know that my interest in SOF, and Rangers specifically, is not based on some Google search that brought me to your site. I stepped on my crank in the intro. I have known about this site but obviously need to check myself for now.
The short answer is that after 9/11 I learned what SOF meant. Daily I am on the sideline reading about what you remarkable men do. When I was young I thought Rangers were like the Park Rangers. I was wrong. I am offering no apologies for that complete ignorance.
Until I read more, Ranger Invictus, that is all for now.
Rangers,
My name is Chris and I am 38 yrs old. I have never served in the Military and as I grow older and learn about the men and women serving my country I have come to regret that a little bit. I read about things that I will never experience. The brotherhood, the lifelong connections, the training, and the sacrifices. I would have been a better person had I served.
My interest in military history began as a freshman in college. I was a history major and I found myself gravitating towards classes dealing with the First and Second World War, Korea and Vietnam. Once I began to study our involvement in these Wars I began to read more and more after I graduated. When I learned about Urgent Fury and Just Cause I began to educate myself on SOF's.
When we invaded Afganistan in November of 2001, I started to search the internet, something I had never done before, for news and updates. That brought me to a few websites that deal with SOF's (SOCNET and PS.com.) I learned that Rangers had made the combat jump into Khandahar, and that this is not some everyday occurence. The more I learned about Rangers and their training, the deeper my respect began to grow.
I have read the introductions on the site, but most of them deal with DEP's, so I tried to be brief and to the point in my original introduction. I may not last here becuase of my introduction - that's ok. This is your house and you can choose who to let in. I have no problem with that.
I thank you all for your service.
