Introduction

Post by Egret »

Good morning, gentlemen. I first started cruising this site looking for simple motivation to get my lazy ass to exercise, knowing that Rangers are exceptionally fit and strong. I've found much more than that here.

I'm a 51 year old woman with a child of 15. I've been raising her alone since she was 6 when my husband/her father decided that marriage and fatherhood were too much trouble. I'm not bitching about it - just letting you know that life hasn't been all roses for me.

I'm an Army Brat - my dad was in the Corps of Engineers forever it seemed. He was drafted at 18, landed at Omaha Beach, spent some time in Korea, and retired after being badly wounded in Viet Nam.

Reading your posts about excellence has been extremely inspiring as is your attitude to whining, sulking and pouting.

If you don't mind, I'll continue to read posts.

Thank you. Men like you are under appreciated.

PS

I purposely did not take a Newt avatar, as I do not resemble any of those women in any manner.

I do not mean to be disrespectful to you, I must remain respectful to myself.

Welcome...

Can't comment on your avatar because all I can see is the dreaded red x.

Damn shame about the dreaded X. It's a pic of me. I'm not gorgeous or sexy or anything, but neither do I scare small children or pets.

I've been reading other posts to various intros. You guys are brutally honest and amazingly funny. I've been reading this at work and a few ribs have come unstuck from trying to stifle laughter.

Thanks again.

OK.

I picked the Mata Hari wannabe. Mata Hari was a bellydancer, and I bellydance, so it seemed tenuously appropriate.
