John Carpenter scared the shit out of me with "Escape from New York" I think I was maybe 4 or 5 when I saw it by accident.

It was the part when the Motherfucker with the Dust mop haircut comes out in the begining and presents Donald Pleasant's finger to Lee Van Clief. The music score was pretty creepy too.
