YOUR INTRO: PASSsupersenior wrote:Is it possible that I could get access to Minor Mayhem? Although I have not yet signed my Option 40, since I have an OCS contract, I'm technically already a DEP. I have an AKO account and us.army.mil email address if verification is necessary.
REQUESTING SOMETHING YOU HAVEN'T EARNED: FAIL...
WORDS OF ADVICE: Memorizing the creed is good, but what you should be focusing on is BEING PHYSICALLY PREPARED, you can't teach mental toughness you'll either have it together when the time comes or you won't.
SUGESTION: Get yourself a mentor, use the search button to answer your many questions that I assume you'll have...........

You decided to attempt to become a UNITED STATES ARMY RANGER that's why!!!

Why? Do you think you have market cornered cool guy? News flash for you, there are plenty of young studs lined up to get to Regiment and they are just as qualified, or more, than you. Here's that sense of entitlement shit shining through again except your no kid, your fucking 27! Old enough to know that the world does not bend to your will. The Regiment is surviving just fine without you.supersenior wrote:I just returned from MEPS today - without an Option 40 contract. I finished up my Airborne physical and finally sat down with a counselor, only to have him tell me they had absolutely no Option 40 slots available. He made one phone call, told me the same thing, then offered me an 18x contract. I told him I wasn't interested and that I wanted an Option 40. So they told me to have my recruiter call back some time in June to see if any slots have opened up.
Frankly, I was surprised they let me walk out of there without a contract. I'll keep trying and report back.
Good thing they never asked me to be a recruiter!!

Well then nice job remembering that you are not enlisted yet and they can't do a fucking thing to you except wait for you to raise your right hand.supersenior wrote:Ranger Charlie 51 - I only meant to imply that MEPS generally does everything they can to get a recruit to sign a contract before they leave, whether it be what the recruit originally wanted or not. I expected them to give me the hard sell on another MOS. I should have been more explicit.Charlie 51 wrote: Why? Do you think you have market cornered cool guy? Geez, now you'll want the title under your user name updated too.supersenior wrote:Rangers/Moderators,
Now that I've finally been able to secure an Option 40 contract (viewtopic.php?t=34752), would it be possible for me to gain access to Minor Mayhem?
Thanks for any help in advance.
