Here we go again

Hey RANGERS. Looks like the good training just never stops (As long as soldiers are willing to do it ). Long story short, 14 OpFor Versus 80 USAH personnel. 2291st USAH "jumps" onto the objective (dirtland) to set up a forward medical/surgical site. OpFor harrasses and presses said personnel. 2291st conducts medical operations past the FLOT (Don't ask me why, they're NOT fuckin PJ's) and maintains a highly functional medical environment while staying "battle focused" on security and patrolling maneuvers, in order to facilitate...blah, blah, blah. The mission is BS, I know. I didn't come up with it. I've been tasked with the OpFor piece. My XO, (21 years old, fresh out of westpoint, but at least he knows it) has asked this of me. To spin him up on the book of death ( 7-8 ), train him to be a competent PL, and then allow him to lead men in simulated combat operations. The sir has pulled me aside to let me know that, although he may be booksmart, he really has no idea how to put combat theory into practice. He also made it a point to say "Every good young officer knows when to swallow his pride and let an enlisted man teach him fact from fiction". OK - mission accepted. Here's what we're working with:
We have a fairly big training area, with hardsites and plenty of room for vehicles. We (I was told) have Rap4-M4's laid on, with ammo to boot. Personally I don't believe it, but if it's true, than thats pretty cool. The sir just sent this to me, and he wants me to "look it over". 3. Higher’s Mission: To train hospital on common soldiering tasks This is NOT, I say again, NOT a mission statement. WHO WHAT WHERE WHEN and WHY!!

4. Higher’s Intent: To have medics and higher staff simulate various combat scenarios Check FM 5.0, this isn't even close..

5. Attachments and Detachments: 2291st USAH cadre as needed NOT 'as needed'. Either you have them attached/detached or you don't. Also, are they OPCON, TACON, attached, detached, WHAT?

6. Light & Weather Data: TBD It is NOT TBD...maybe TBP, and the light data you can get TODAY for the next gazillion years..

7. Terrain: Open area with deadfall and light underbrush with a few cleared trails. Your IPB-Fu is weak...

2. MISSION

a. For OPFOR to conduct squad attack and assimilated 'assimilated'? terrorist training towards the 2291st USAH. This is NOT, I say again (again), NOT a mission statement. WHO WHAT WHERE WHEN and WHY!!

3. EXECUTION

a. Intent: For the OPFOR to conduct multiple squad attacks to prepare and familiarize all 2291st medics with experience for treating and evaluating a causality under multiple attacks. First, INTENT is NOT bulleted, it is THAT important. Second...PURPOSE, KEY TASKS, END STATE!!

b. Concept of the Operation The HOW...Course of Action !!

(1) OPFOR Squad Attack will be conducted in five phases:

Phase I: Training Site Preparation

Phase II: Movement to Site

Phase III: Formation/Accountability/Equipment Issue

Phase IV: Lane Training and OPFOR engagement

Phase V: Final Formation/Equipment Return/Battalion AAR

1. OPFOR uniform for event will include the following:

- Patrol caps are permitted (if heat is a factor) Either they are permitted or not. Changes to the OPORD are in a FRAGO

- Camouflage

- Rucksack with MRE and extra necessity items

- Cold weather gear as needed

4. SERVICE AND SUPPORT
