Welcome here young man. I have a couple of questions for you. Here you are 30 years old. Why NOW? Be honest and please dont assume you need to sing God Bless America for me.
Im seeing more and more men at your age and even older doing this. Is it economic? Is it social? The war has been raging for quite awhile now, certainly the need for men to step up has been there for sometime now. So, why now? Explain that for me.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

Ranger Fishboy, unfortunately I do not have any monkey pictures. I apologize for this, but hopefully posting more photos of girls will make up for it in some small way.

Ranger Matador275, her name is Vianey and she was an aspiring model from Guatemala who came into the studio to have some portfolio work done.

I have read through the FAQ's and stickies as you suggested, and have corrected my addressing of site members. Thank you for pointing this out to me.

In order to square that away, another picture of Vianey:

Go SF. You will more than likely fit in there better than in a Ranger Battalion.

Welcome to ArmyRanger.com!
The Matador has a good point. You might find that (while many SF-types disagree) SF operators tend to be more mature than the classical Ranger. Your skill as a photographer might come in handy; particularly in PsyOps or PolWar. In the meantime, please continue to share your stash.

Ranger Abel9, this is a very good question. I did not realize there was a trend of men my age joining, but I can tell you some of my reasoning.

Having just turned 30, I found myself looking back and thinking, "what I have I done with my life?"

It made me feel that I have not done anything important or meaningful. I could keep on doing what I have been, which has not given me a sense of real pride or accomplishment, or stand up and do something important.

I probably should have done this 5 years ago, but I didn't. To me it seems like I either do this now, or never. I can't waste another decade and then decide I should have done it. I don't mean that I haven't done anything at all, there have been ups and downs and adventures on the way, just nothing really meaningful to anyone but myself and the few others involved.

Saying goodbye to my twenties has put a fire under my ass to accomplish what I want in this life, so that I can leave with no regrets.

Ranger Jim, thanks you for that advice. Things are starting to gel in my brain a little now. I'll just have to see what MEPS has for me.

Now back to the stash (or gash, as it were)

Read the FAQ's and stickies on how to address members of this board before you post again.

If you don't ever write another post, but keep putting up pictures of chicks like this, http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a270/ ... lo-res.jpg I will guarantee you that life will be better.
