Well, now, I have never served in the 75th Ranger Regiment. The Regiment did not exist during WWII. But since you bring it up, please take a look at the history of Army Rangers in Wikipedia and tell me why you would like to be one of us in 25 - 50 words. I'd like to see a response in the next 24 hours.someguy wrote:Ranger Jim,Jim wrote:someguy wrote:Thank you for your service. I can only hope one day to be what you've been.
I hope you aren't calling us has beens.
I don't believe there was ever a group of men who left behind a legacy such as the members of the 75th Ranger Regiment that could ever be considered has beens. The Rangers of D-Day may have been forgotten by some but to this day we are benefiting from their scrafices.
What I meant was, I would be honoured to walk in your path and can only hope that one day I can Ranger half as good as yourself.
