Graduated RIP Class 05-07
Graduated RIP Class 05-07
Today I finally got to don my tan beret and had my scroll pinned on by my parents. I will be heading over to 3/75 next week. Its definitely a thrill making it this far and I'm sure my time in batt will be even harder than what I've been through so far. Our class started with 154 and graduated 78. I was fortunate enough to meet two members from this board. I took a picture with them and I'm sure AbnRgr289 will post it pretty soon. I have some pictures I will post once my parents email them to me.

Be proud of what you've done so far and keep up the good work.
Pictures have been posted in the appropriate AO, they don't need to be out in the open. If you want copies let me know and I'll PM them to you.

Damn, Foozbat, you have certainly come a long way since June 2006. I'm proud of your accomplishments. I'm glad I'm not in your boots when Tristan finds out you became a Palace Prancer. The easy part is over, now you get to work to keep your place in the Ranger Regiment. Enjoy every day and never, never quit!!!

Ranger Foozbat! Congratulations on graduating RIP. Now it begins, you have earned the TAN Beret and wear it with pride. Do your duty and strive to reach the peak of your ability.
Oh and good luck because you must earn something else now. Earn the respect of your peers and never quit.

Good job, but as you have heard before..."now starts the hard part!"Foozbat wrote:Today I finally got to don my tan beret and had my scroll pinned on by my parents. You did fine, overcame some adversity and obstacles enroute to graduating RIP and you can now count yourself as a private in the best unit in the Army to learn from. They are going to rip your ass up and kick your guts in, but it will make you better at everything.
"Attention to detail" is the one thing you don't want to miss. Pay attention to everything that is said to you and write it down immediately afterwards. Carry a RHB with you at all times. Make sure you are always in the right uniform and place. Be motivated. Push harder than anyone around you.
You'll do fine, but this is going to be a krass change to what you have experienced thus far. Talk to "Velcrocivic" about how much fun he's had so far and he'll let you know what not to do and who to be around.
I'm damn proud of you, Foozbat.
Enjoy your weekend off and for fuck's sake, don't do anything stupid, RANGER!
Yeah, wtf is up with all my mentee's going to the last batt?Jim wrote:Damn, Foozbat, you have certainly come a long way since June 2006. I'm proud of your accomplishments. Next mofo is going to the Warrior Paradise known as Fort Rainstorm.
The good thing is that, thank GRITS, none of them shave their legs. :D
Good job Ranger! Get ready for the fun part!
