Hi, my name is Chris. I am 18 years old. I graduated high school at 16 on an independent study program. I am currently a college student majoring in Business Administration. I like to surf, skateboard, stencil and work with my hands. I am an beginner knife maker, and amateur machinist.

I joined this message board because I plan on enlisting in the Army and have ambitions on becomes a Ranger. And I hope I can make a contribution to the community with my vast knowledge of odd subjects.

Welcome to the site Chris and thanks for your desire to serve our great country as an Army Ranger.

As a DEP, you won't be making any/many contributions to this forum. You will be expected to read/study pertinent information already made available here and to run, do pushups & situps till you feel like dying and then do some more.

I do look forward to your contributions after you complete your Ranger training.

Come back when you've actually accomplished something or just go over to myspace where you belong. No one here gives a shit about your "vast" knowledge because you don't have any. Oh you think you do, but you don't, so go be impressed with yourself somewhere else.

If you really want to stick around then read everything here and learn. Your fragile ego may not be able to take the responses if you post too much, so don't.

Other than that, welcome to the site.....as a point of context for you there are people on this site that were jumping into combat when they were 18 and a few that have 100 or more combat patrols under their belt. Kind of puts your heroic forrays at the bonfire beach party fingering Mary Jane rotten crotch in to perspective huh?

By vast knowledge, i meant things like, computers, surfing, skateboarding, metaleulogy, Bmx, video games. Thats why i put odd subjects. I am sorry I didn't make that clear. I should have been more specific on the "odd subjects" i was talking about.

Ohhhhh I thought you meant things like, how to survive a near ambush, how to make an improvised field antenna, Survivability in the fatal funnel, breaching charges for beginners, The MGRS and you, stalking techniques, head space and timing adjustment for the Ma duece, Zodiac F-470 limp duck operations, tide charts, dead reckoning, call for fire, JMPI, how to set up a dropzone and 101 uses for the VF-17 pannel.

I thought you meant you were an expert odd subjects like that, gosh I did misunderstand you. Oh now I really feel silly. Just a big dumb Ranger I guess, I couldn't even understand a 18 year old kid.
