SITREP for Greg88

Post by Greg88 »

Hello Rangers,
I am on my 36 hour pass and finally got a chance to use a computer. I am ust starting AIT. Basic hasnt really been to hard. There isnt to much to tell. My Grad date is 17nov06. My pt is ok so far but there is still room for improvment. PU's 54, SU's 66, 2MR 1430. We have had quite a few AWOL attempts and 3 make it. I shot a 36/40 on the day before actual qualification so they didnt let me shoot the next day with the rest of the company. The DS's gave a lot of people extra ammo i heard so we had about 25 experts come out of ym platoon of 56. But I shot expert without extra ammo so i feal like i actually earned mine. One shit bag had a guy shoot for him because he cant shoot for shit. I give him shit every day and try to GFT him all the time. well ill post more updates if i can later.
What the hell is a ruck???

Thanks for reporting in! Sounds like you're doing fine. Continue to do extra PT and bring those scores up. You're handling your weapon just right. Keep up the good work!

Good luck as you progress.

I'm not saying that what you say didn't happen - but careful about spreading it. It's virtually impossible to do that kind of crap without the 1SG or CO knowing it - and that's some serious shit.

update

Post by Greg88 »

hello Rangers
I graduated last friday. And im at the end of a weekend pass. After the FTX my PT scores went up quite a bit. The last PT test i took I scored a 62 on the PU's a 66 on the SU's and a 13:06 on the 2 mile. The airborne test will be this monday and i dont think i will have any trouble with that. I have been told i wont start airborne till after december. So ill try and stay sane in hold untill then. My buddy DanC is on about week 6 i think with 1/50. I havent heard how he is doing for a while but im sure he is doing fine to.

Same thing happened in my Basic. We had a guy named Spencer that couldn't shoot. He was going in the National Guard. His dad was a General and would have been very upset if his boy failed marksmanship. The DS had one of the shooters in our class fire for him and Spencer got expert. The DS got put in a hard situation with a lot of politics involved.

Hello Rangers.
I am almost done with Airborne. We start jumping Saturday and graduate tuesday. Airborne is fucking easy. If you are an ok runner you will have no problem with it. Its also pretty fun. Cant wait to jump.
