It's important for everyone in a leadership position to educate troops why we as Americans traditionally treat POW'S humanely. When POW'S are treated humanely it lessens your current and future enemies will to fight. They are more likely to surrender; then they can be used for intelligence..... think about it; after seeing how the downed pilots in Somolia were treated or the recent mutilations of American bodies in Irag; I know what my response and the response of most true warriors would be in a grim situation...FIX BAYONETS!
