Option 40 secured also

Post by holder07 »

I got option 40 secured in my contract as well. I also get PFC because of my 4 years in JROTC in high school. But who cares about some pansy JROTC unit anyway right? I'm ready for Ranger school. I leave for BCT at Benning 20060619, the delay b/c i'm a senior in high school. I'm in pretty good physical shape I think. My APFT is around a 270 now, and hopin to be a perfect 300 by the time I leave. Also i'm about to buy a ruck and start using that about 3 or 4 times a week to get used to all the weight i'll be carrying on my back, I think i'll start with about 55 or 60 lbs. to begin with. Any Rangers who have any more tips for me that'd be great. Thanks.

Fix that avatar.......It's not from the DEP choices and it's the wrong fucking size.

How can you leave for Benning 20060619, that was almost 5 months ago. Pay attention to detail!

Congratulations to you for your enlistment and your Option 40 Contract. Now I will give a tip or two that you asked for. You brag about going in as an E-3 becasue you were in JROTC, then demean the program, belittleing the young men in JROTC who are following in your footsteps. You are on the way to having un-earned the privealge of them looking up to you. So correct yourself and drive on. In the meantime, PT you butt off. It is not an easy road you have set upon, but it is yours for the taking. Best of luck to you. In Ranger Land, luck means means preapredness meeting opportunity. You have earned the opportunity. Make the most of it and never, ever quit.
