another intro

Welcome. It is good to know that a number of the current LRSD/LRSCs have taken some of the VN-era vets on as "honorary" members.

Welcome, you are who you are and I am who I am. No need to pretend you know anything about Ranger Batt.
People are always backpeddling and saying we are sooo hardcore. To be honest, I think Marines and 3rd ID guys are more hardcore than me. What is there to be afraid of when you have awesome leaders and your brothers are over-achieving animals.
To me, being in the big army is hardcore. Thats why I am going to be a butter bar, so I can live dangerously instead of hiding in the saftey of Rgr. Batt.

Yeah it occurs to me that when/if I ever want to explain to someone what type of shit I did, that I shouldn't even try to draw any comparisons, this is why people don't know much about us in the first place. I don't really have this conversation with people very often, in fact it has grown increasingly rare that I talk much about my military service at all, but as a LRS soldier I should just educate people and help to make our own name whenever possible.

Well thanks for coming into a Special Ops Community Forum and clearing up how hard core 101st LRSD is.
Maybe I am just taking you the wrong way, which I am notroious for, but this isn't MySpace bro...Don't walk in here like your impressing anyone, or we owe you some kind of special courtesy's. Your a guest here and this is our house.
If SFOD had a website, I wouldn't be on there bragging about how I didn't make selection. Who gives a fuck about how good you did in pre-Ranger.
Thanks for your service...(nothing follows)

an intro was asked for and that's what i gave, you can take it however the fuck you want, but when someone started with the don't put LRSD and LRRP into the same breath I felt the need to defend myself. If your goal is to put people on the defensive then congratulations job well done. Most of you welcomed me and I appreciate that and that is really all I expected was some welcomes, but guy I know full well this ain't myspace, and you show me where in the fuck I tried to impress anyone and I'll show you where you are dead wrong.Soul Snatcher wrote:Well thanks for coming into a Special Ops Community Forum and clearing up how hard core 101st LRSD is.
