We went to see Wicker Man last night. It was ok.....Nick has made better movies. It's one of those "wait 'till it comes out on DVD" flicks.

The best part of the movie was seeing it at a Drive-In.

But, who goes to a Drive-In to watch the movie anyways.....

I saw "Anyone's Hero" with my son (age 6) and despite media reports that it sucked, it was actually pretty good. I suppose the media could not abide doing the right thing, looking out for friends and completing the mission of delivering Babe Ruth's bat as an admirable goal....and my son liked it too. :D

Also watched 'A History of Violence' (with the guy from GI Jane/Lord of the Rings) Great fucking movie! Some nice throat punches!
Agreed Ranger... Did you watch the behind the scenes on either? The Sentinel had alot of Secret Service agents around for training and advice. Loved how the Team didn't fall apart in the final sequences.

A History of Violence was made in the vein of showing how BAD violence is in our culture. They ended up making some great Violent Porn. I about blew a nut when I saw the throat stomp and coffee pot across the face. The grudgefuck on the stairs was none to shabby either.

The 3 burials of Melquiades Estrada LINK

Tommy Lee Jones directs and stars. It was an outstanding flick. Barry Pepper plays a BP agent. A good modern day cowboy flick about loyalty and friendship.

Watched "Syriana" last week, it sucked, boring as hell. Fell asleep the first half hr. (twice!)

"Munich" was actually pretty good. I enjoyed this movie, after passing it by like 5-6 times at Blockbuster I finally rented it. Good choice.

"16 Blocks" Not bad, wasn't blown away but wasn't disappointed either.

How was that? I almost rented it the other night but I just don't know how to feel about it. Is it Hollywood crap or was it done somewhat respectfully?

It's a little strange to watch. It's not Hollywooded out, but it's not entirely without dramatic effects. I couldn't watch the entire thing. I was mad as fuck after catching it mid-show, when the fuckers had already taken the plane. I watched the part where the people were trying to take the plane back. It just pissed me off, all over again.

I watched Fast and the Furious 3, Tokyofuckingdrift. I hate all three of these pos movies for the simple reason that they've created such a shit-storm of fuckers driving their pos cars with lights and loud exhaust and ugly body kits all over my once peaceful town.

As stated before, it brings it all back. Tears, anger, disbelief, and pride. I read the 911 Commission Report, and I remember while reading it, how the feeling of chaos between the different agencies was portrayed. The movie does a good job of showing that. I think they did a good job of showing what may have happened on the flight as well. Those were heroic people- God Bless 'em.

Saw "Open Season" with my son. Not bad, he enjoyed it, but I'm starting to lose track of all of these CGI movies. They seem to have the same storylines and graphics.

I'm not a big movie guy (I mostly prefer to see the same 'ol ones I've seen a hundred times - drives HH6 crazy) but my boy brought V for Vendetta home from Blockbuster tonight, and I thought it was a damn fine movie. It had a good story line - the kind that you actually have to listen to what's being said and think, instead of being numb and immobile for an hour and a half.

I know I'm behind the times, but I ain't paying that much money to go see a movie unless it's a hot date, and I don't have those anymore.
