Need help landing a Ranger

I'm trying to follow all the rules of the board, so here goes:

I'm M., a 29 year old woman from New York. I'm a writer, and pretty hot (working on the pic) I have an MFA, am completely independent, and love working outdoors.

I'm good friends with a former Ranger (served in the early 90's including Somalia but doesn't speak about it) He's an amazing man and definitely still a Ranger at heart. I want to be more than friends with him but am having trouble getting "in."

Any specialized advice as to how I get a Ranger to fall for me? Nobody in my civilian world has been of any help.
