Paul, one of the things you need to recognize is that on this site, each Ranger is required to prove that they are indeed who they say they are. I can assure you that he is a First Sergeant. There are several on the site, as are a number of serving Master Sergeants, and Sergeants Major (both active and retired). We are here to assist you in achieving your goals. My recommendation is to prepare yourself by reading all the FAQs, stickies and selected threads. Almost every question you will ask has been answered at least once. Resist the urge to hit the submit button. The search button is your friend -- I'm not. If you truly want to serve in the 75th Ranger Regiment or complete Ranger training, you came to the right place. If not, please go away and allow some better man the opportunity to succeed.nocmatch wrote:I believe my ass deserves a kicking. I'm sucking and I apologize to the 1SG if he is indeed a 1SG. I want to be a Ranger because I want respect. Being a Ranger demands respect. I also want to learn how to kick ass and serve my country by laying my life on the line. This is why I want to be an Army Ranger. I will become an Army Ranger.

KAAAAAAAAWHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!!!!nocmatch wrote:I wasn't aware that "Ranger Greed" is a requisite for respect. Since you're a Ranger, you must have thick skin? What advice should I take, may I ask. Seems to me the forum should give practical advice not bombastic abstractions. Dragonmaster seems to be unlcear in what he wants me to do. So far all he's done is assume that his rank and experience lend his words substance regardless of their context. What course of action specifically should I take? Thankyou, have a nice day.Don't apologize just execute (that means do what he said). You have two new posts and you again ignore his request. Don't sit there and act like we are all picking on you. If you make it to Battalion...hell, if you make it RIP you will get your ass dogpiled by a lot more mean people than you will here, and when you fail to do a simple task like write a paper, or memorize the Ranger Greed, your life is going to get a lot less happy in a hurry.
Moral of the story. Shut up and do what is asked without bitching. Get some thick skin because you'll need it to survive in this enviroment.
I am giving you some friendly advice. If you think I'm being disrespectful you can shove it up your fucking sally ass. Pussies need not apply.
