I'm fucking confused.

Since when do Basic Trainees get to carry around cameras?

Since when do they have time to take pictures?

Where are the fucking Drills?

How did they get on a computer and post a whole album of images?

I think theses sitreps are great and all.........I just don't remember ever having the time to even think about such things. I think I got to write two short letters to my family and that was it. :?

Good progress GorD. The further in you get, the more fun/rewarding it becomes.
That photo is a vast improvement over the first one you posted here - what must seem to you to be light-years ago.
Time is short again, while it sounds like you got the right attitude, the body is still playing catch up.
Now go & shame the rest of your platoon through your performance.
Had any leadership positions yet?

Vee - 4 hour passes & a px annex with terminals for rent.
On my first pass at basic, I brought back a px 110 instamatic that served me through the rest of basic and a number of jumps as well.
And that was back when you could still meet corporals who claimed to have pulled headcount at the Last Supper.

New sitrep-

Rangers, Deps-

I've failed to make it to my goals. I didn't pass the Airborne PT test, I wont make excuses about what happened but I'm pretty disappointed in myself.

I know I let alot of people down on this website, in my family and in the Army. I apologize for that, especially to those who invested their time in me. I'd also like to apologize specifically to Ranger Ingraham, I've been having problems with my cell phone company and inprocessing at my unit has been holding me back from being able to call, i'll shoot you a call tonight when I get it fixed.

Right now what happened was I was stationed with 3rd ID at Ft Stewart. I'm going to concentrate on being the best soldier I can be with the situation in front of me.. I'm going to take advantage of any freetime to PT my ass off and get better and i'll get back to Airborne school. I'm going to get some experience here and then if I can get out of Leg Land before I have to re-up then I'll do that and get into an Airborne Unit. After that, we'll see where it takes me.

Again, I apologize for wasting anyones time but I appreciate all the help I've recieved. This website is a viable asset and the young recruits and soldiers appreciate it.

DEPS- Learn from my failure. Get your pushups right so that theres no possible way you can be failed from anything. Don't be one of those shitbags in Airborne HHC who claims to be in the "41 club" and blames Sgt Airborne for their failure to make the grade. Its on you to do it, nobody else.

What event did you fail?

I hope you keep your word and become fuking Soldier of the year at Stewart.

You are an ArmyRanger.com mentee. Everyone can't make it to Ranger Regiment, but everyone can have integrity.

You better be a great fucking Soldier down there.

If one if not all of have tried to tell you newbies time and friggin time again.

DO PT EVERY WAKIN SECOND OF FREE TIME YOU'VE GOT OR GET TOSSED ON THE I COULD'VE BEEN A RANGER PILE OF MISSED OPPORTUNITIES AND BROKEN DREAMS.

I commend you for posting your failure instead of just disappearing with your head held down in shame.

Go to 3rd ID, learn your skill, get stronger and in time we'll see what type of Character you display. With HARD WORK AND EFFORT you may one day get another shot at Airborne School and from there you "might" be considered for RIP.

Don't let this be the ending, think of it as a wake up call and do what you have to do in order to TRULY ACHIEVE YOUR OBJECTIVE!!!, you've probably have been good enough to skate by in your life and thought this too wouldn't be as tough as everyone makes out

WRONG!!!

If you couldn't pass the Airborne PT test you sure as hell would not have lasted 1 hour at RIP.

Now DROP FUCKER AND KNOCK OUT 50 FOR FUCKIN UP!!!

Then elevate your fuckin feet and knock out another 25!!!

at least you had the integrity to come back here and own your action. that speaks well for you.

it's easy to be a fuck up, or marginal soldier at Stewart. stand above them all, don't spend time with them, just work with them as nessisary. I wasn't real impressed with the Division when I was there. it shouldn't be hard to shine. find NCOs and senior privates who care about what they are doing and are doing things right and learn from them.

if they planted crosses on the side of the road for every drunk Joe that killed himself or a buddy on 144 trying to get back to the barracks after drinking in Savannah, you could walk on them the whole way. I'm not exagerating, but you'll see what I mean on your first trip up there. don't be that guy, or ride with that guy.

SHITE.
Bugsy & GrowOrDie said everything already.
Be the best soldier in your squad right on up to division.
DON'T SAY A WORD to anyone about your failure or your goals to eventually go Airborne or RIP.
Just do the outstanding work you know you're capable of doing, now that you've been humbled, & as was said - let us know it when you're Soldier of the Year for 3ID.
When you're ready, submit the paperwork. Maybe by then you'll have a combat tour & some real experience to offer up to a high speed outfit. Make the most of whatever your new unit can offer, and associate only with other professionals, there'll be too many of the type you wrote me about around you. Don't let them rub off.

Too bad you didn't get orders for 1SG Silverback's new company

I'm surprised, I thought the run would've been your downfall.

DEPS: Don't assume anything! This guy is strong - pushups should've been nothing but a formality to this troop.

You did say you'd man up & stay in touch if you boloed, you're a man of your word.
You know what you have to do henceforth. Looking forward to your call.

Well, GorD, at least you are in an Infantry Division that is training for combat. Do well as a rifleman and your shot at airborne / Ranger may reappear. As I've told you before: never, never quit.
