Hey Steadfast! I've got over half of those bands you listed on these black disc things. I they ran at 33rpm! :)

I used to love to hear The Jay Giles Band when they sang the song, "first I look at the purse. I don't care if they are tall, or thin. I don't care if they are short, or fat. First I look at the purse, first I look at the purse." Then the last group I listed I actually heard the guy from the Lovin' Spoonful sing that Bruce Springsteen song, "Blinded by the Light" Oh yeah that guy was Manfred Mann that sang that song. I tried to get it in early 1976, Blinded by the light sung by MM when the guy in the "record store" said why don't you get the original song. I said Huh?. He showed me Greetings From Asbury Park by Bruce Springsteen. and I fell in love with (sic, and he) sings like he got marbles in his mouth. But there were all great songs on that album. Yeah McD. My albums come with scratches now. My ex neva took care of my records. I remember blowing a gasket when seeing my albums piled one upon the other out of their jacket and then I flung a Springsteen Album without the cover ala frisbree style into a wall. I got a lot of brownie points for that in divorce court. One of my memorable times. BTW the album had dented the wall in by one inch and was coated with plaster. Old memories sure are something when they pop up in the old noggin'.

Good.
I like anything in English!
In my car the CD currently in is Led Zep remaster. I enjoy "no quarter"
and "kashmir".
Honestly if it's in English I'll listen!

Oh yeah.
Springsteen was always one of my favorites. He was the reason I lost my first love a girl called Colleen. I still like his music.
His best of CD is also in my car.

I have a collection of 1940's music by the greats from that era. It is all re=recordings updated to 33rpm albums. Two albums to a box, with little booklet giving all the pertinent information about the performers. All these albums are from Franklin Mint. collector items in their own right.Mailman wrote:You guys need to get into some good shit like, HATEBREED, PRO PAIN, SICK OF IT ALL, MADBALL, E-TOWN CONCRETE, STRIFE, AS I LAY DYING, BIOHAZARD, VISION OF DISORDER, DILINGER ESCAPE PLAN. One time in the Republic of S.V. I had the distinct opportunity of hearing enemy soldiers singing in their native language closing on my position. I was glad they were singing as it was easy to stop this live performance by the enemy troope. I had an interesting Moog Synthensizer back then and made it sound like the musical hum of a M - 16 on full automatic. Of course their performance uniforms became quite soiled. and they must have suddenly forgotten the words. I operated my Moog and between myself and my partner, we were considered a duo. Our new act won awards and acclaim. We replaced the asianatic singers, which turned out to be their final performance. I never did get their names, but it mattered not. We heard our limo's arriving on scene and lifted off in our chariots in the sky. The whirring of rotor blades sounded as if someone was clapping.
