Some of us are addressed as "Sergeant Major" others of us are addressed as "Sir" others may even be addressed as "Officer"...None of us...I SAY AGAIN...None of us should ever be addessed as "Guys".ws6man wrote: I dont know a lot of stuff about military life and experiences since i am a newbie and i was hoping you could give me some advice, and tell me some stuff! Read more than you post, think before you speak (Type) and remember you are only a guest here as long as we deem you trainable!

Welcome.ws6man wrote:Hey all you Rangers! I am a newbie here and i thought i would say whats up! I am in the delayed entry program, waiting to be sent to basic June 22. My contract states that i will be sent to basic, then to AIT, then Airborne school, then REP, and then Ranger School, all of my training (even basic) will be at Ft. Benning. I have always wanted to be a ranger since i was 5! I have two cousins that were rangers during the first gulf war and when i saw them return, i was set on becoming just like them! I dont know a lot of stuff about military life and experiences since i am a newbie and i was hoping you could give me some advice, and tell me some stuff! Thanks guys!!!!!
It's RIP not REP.
You wont be going to Ranger School until your Unit decides your worth it.
What Unit were your cousins with?
Always capitalize the R in Ranger.

Welcome - read the FAQ's carefully, and don't muddy up the floor.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Oh, yeah, welcome.
Now, simmer down, young fella....relax..... take a deep breath...
You can call me GUY when we share considerably more experience than having both been DEPS.
Search a little, learn a lot.
