Hello

Post by PGT »

Hello,
Im Ajdin (I Dean) from IA. Right now im a senior in HS, 5'7 bout 145, I turn 18 in a month. The military has always been in the back of my mind but my parents have been very straightforward about it...join them & your out of the house. My dream so far has been civil pilot but its very expensive which I think would be very very hard, if not impossible for me to achieve. Now im looking into the military again. im in good shape, not the best. Ive always been athletic. Running wise ive always been fast and able to run a lot. I work out 3 times a week (tue thur sat). Usually do 3 sets of ~40 pushups. 3 sets of 50-60 situps and sets of about 10 pullups before I hit the gym for weight training, then more pushups/situps/pullups when i get home.

Im still debating wether to join the army, navy, or marines...whichever one I choose it will be in about 2 years as I wanna get a 2yr in Criminal justice (parents paying for college). One big decision for me will be to go enlisted or officer, something im still debating on.

Welcome. Looks like you have a lot of decisions to make. Let me just say this one thing - part of being an adult is making your own decisions, not letting your parents run your life. Decide what YOU want then pursue it with every fiber of your being.

You could flip a coin... or you could read and learn a lot on this site to help you make an informed decision. But in any case, thank you for your desire to serve this great country.

one of the main reasons im here is to see if I like whats going on!

i dont know if this helps but I am Bosnian, lived in Germany my whole life. I speak Bosnian fluently, forgot most of German but with a few classes I can get it back easily. yes I am a US citizen, just havent been sworn in yet.

Number 1 thing that makes me want to pursue this: I was on these boards about 6 months ago reading through posts when someone said ..."Every morning I wake up I realize how much I miss it "(being a Ranger)

I think they meant "being with a Ranger!"

PGT, you need to pick an avatar from the appropriate selection.
