OCS DEP Contract Complete

Post by Buck27 »

This morning I was sworn in to the United States Army. I am set to graduate college on June 11. After that, I will ship out to basic on June 21st and then to Officer Candidate School when basic is completed. I still have a strong desire to attend Ranger School and serve in a Ranger Batt throughout my career. Thank you to all the Rangers and Soldiers on this site. I can also help any OCS applicants with questions, especially in the Ohio area. Respectfully, Buck27

Thank you for the congrats. Basic is in Fort Jackson and OCS is in Fort Benning. I requested infantry, engineering, and intelligence as my top three. The board recommended me for light engineering or infantry. My performance at OCS will dictate the branch that I am assigned. My performance in OBC will dictate my school selection. There is alot of work to be done. Respectfully, Buck27

That is correct. If you have a high standing in your OCS class, you are rewarded -- I was on the commandant's list and got Ranger School and the 82d.

You may be in the same OCS class as me. Do your best in BCT and good luck on branching.
