Motorpool? What is your MOS - 11B, I thought?

Anyone else - is this common for Infantry Divisions to send 11Bs to be 'drivers'?

He said no one was around, everybody went home on leave. It is possible, temporary at best. Is he in Ft Campbell? Well good news anyway. Good luck for you PHR.

Is a license in the military still a SF - 46?

When I left Batt and got assigned to 1/29 Inf. on Benning, we basically performed mechanical maintenance on M-113s. I was 11B. :x We also supported the School of the Americas. Instructing the Hoolios on their operation and capabilities, and driving (APCs) the Hoolios around in the field, on Benning.

I think Ranger Steadfast hit the nail onthe head. But yes it is common. Most of our truck drivers were 11b's.(same unit as PHR at one time)but ive never heard of anyone being thrown into that position out of basic unless they were an absolute POS. So im thinking it has to do with the units recent return from overseas.

PHR good luck. You have a lot pf proving to do to all of those soldiers returning from Iraq.Keep the lips closed and the ears open. What you hear may save your life, because you may be back there sooner than you think.

Good luck

The 101st has a long, proud history. Good luck. Is another shot at BAC a medical impossability?

I would imagine that OHR is currently part of Rear Detachement. It'll take the unit a while to figure out where he needs to go once everyone is back.

I know when I was in the 101st, D co was the AT/TOW company so that may be what he is doing. They were constantly pulling 11Bs to be drivers over there. Anyways, goodluck and keep driving on PHR!

i think is misquoted myself there, when i said that we were the mtorpool company, i meant to say we are the anti-armor co. MK-19, 50cal, TOW, that sort of thing, i'll be a driver at first but i'll hopefully be able to work my way up to gunner at some point. still havent been assigned to a platoon yet, everyone comes off of block leave of the 12th. i'll try to post as often as i can, should be getting my own laptop soon through eArmyu.

Big difference on what you said PHR

This certainly clears up our confusion. So you are going to be driving in your Anit-armor Company. Make this your last mistake. Listen and learn. And focus, for God's sake, focus man on what you are doing. Your first message was cryptic to say the least. You failed to focus. Straighten up PHR.
