introduction
my name is kyle.
i am a 20 yr old currently living in new jersey and own a small video rental store.
i am not enlisted in any branch of the military though am signing up with the army very soon (within a month or two). my problem is that i have spoken with every person i know that has joined up and not one person has had anything to say other than "don't join" because no one from my town has been able to make it (two are in alaska). i refuse to listen to these people and would like to get some info from people who (a) joined for the right reasons and (b) enjoy serving their country. i figured i'd find that on a ranger site (plus i would like to eventually earn a ranger badge).
if anyone is willing to talk to me about their army experience please reply.

1. Always capitalize the word Ranger, and all of its derivatives.
2. It is not a badge, it is a Tab.
3. Read the FAQs.
4. Read them again.
5. Get an avatar.
6. Use the search button, read, and learn how to co-exist here. This is not your average message forum, and there is a definite learning curve associated with conversing with Rangers, especially here.
7. If you have exhausted all search avenues, and decide to open your mouth to ask a question, slip into your set of thick skin before you do.
8. Welcome. Good Luck.
