Finished Airborne School
Finished Airborne School
Rangers,
I graduated Airborne school on March 17th. It felt like a long wait to get there (5 weeks in Airbonre hold at Sand Hill), but when I first got to jump out of that plane I realized it had all been worth it. We got to watch to watch Band of Brothers one of the days we waited in the shed and it was great seeing part of the history of Airborne and that got me over some of the nervousness of jumping. I won't say I wasn't scared at all, but the second I went running out that door it was perhaps the biggest rush of my life and I loved every jump after too. Unfortunately it looks like I'm going to be a 5 jump chump for now. My Drill Sergeants told me I had to wait to get to my unit when I tried to get citizenship (so no security clearance for RIP) and everyone who was just going straight Airborne in my Unit from basic got orders to leg units. So that feels a little embaressing and disappointing right now, but I'm going to keep at it and hopeflly I will end up where I want to be one day. Thank you Rangers for all the advice that got me here.

Good job Airborne.
Remember to fight for that SF86. I wish I had this forum when I was in, because they would more than likely have known how to fix my situation and I would never have left.
You have the chance of a lifetime to start a fantastic military career, but remind yourself never to drink and drive. That will stop it short of any ambition you might have!
Drive on with a hard-on!
