Lieutenant OCS Process

Post by Buck27 »

Hello All Rangers and Soldiers. I spoke with a recruiter that said candidates for OCS had to appear before a board and clearly display leadership qualities. One option for me is to join as an officer with a college degree and no ROTC. What is the format of the interview for prospective officers and what kind of questions do they ask? I would appreciate any feedback and thank you to all the Rangers and Soldiers on this board.

This is not an OCS forum. Try using Google instead.

Your recruiter wouldn't like this, A lot of paperwork...You'll need to get your packet ready and take the ASVAB and get a full physical at MEPS. Then you'll have to get your picture taken and your Packet gets inspected for errors. Then only then will you appear in front of the Board..The standard questions..you will be graded on 5 areas which is included in the packet. i.e appearance..communications skills etc. You will be notified when you are attending the Board. This is a very lengthy process which requires patience and careful processing by your recruiter. Now go do some research!

Thank you Rangers for your responses. I apologize for posting ocs content on a Ranger site. Now I have an idea of how to coordinate my ship out date with my graduation date. It seems I have to get moving now if I want to ship out in the summer. The info is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all, Ill go work on my pt now.
