I took being a mentor seriously, felt honored that SB thought I would be a good mentor for him, and did my best to prepare him so that he would be ready when the time came to represent and perform. I actually thought of him as my surrogate son in a way. I still would like to speak to him and hear from his own mouth what the fuck happened and why did just went AWOL. He's no dummy but he did something that was foolish and unfortunately there is no turning back now.

What I'm getting at is I took this mentor responsibility seriously and I actually thought he would make it, many people who witnessed him in action felt the same way. He worked very hard, to my knowledge did everything that I told him to, and seemingly had what it took. But deep inside he either didn't believe it, no longer wanted it, or got talked out of it. Whatever the fuckin reason its over with until the authorities catch up with him.

So again I apologize but I wouldn't have said what I said had I not felt as though my effort in getting the young man squared away was not being questioned.

Holy shit! I hope I didn't start this shit and you should know I was just fuckin with you. I wouldn't think of blaming anyone except the individual involved. I know you bugsy and your sense of humor, that's what made me write it..I also know this shitberg has no reflection of you or your actions. (well maybe a little). :D

You know what if there's one thing I know seein as we both served together and (cause I'm an old fucker) remember "some" of the crazy shit you used to do (and say), I know damn well you of all people..............Would NEEEEEVER START NO SHIT

Bugs, I absolutely believe everything you said, and agree with you. I was pulling for the kid too. I really thought heâ€™d make it.

I know you are an awesome mentor. The only reason I haven't stepped up is I have to teach, coach, mentor 25 pilots everyday at work, and don't feel I have the time to give to the kids here that they deserve. I applaud every single mentor on here. Wish to fuck this was around when we stepped up to start this path we chose.

I probably should have recognized how you would feel. I apologies for being so insensitive. Fuck that, no I don't. Ranger up dude. You gave him 100%. You thought you were getting 100%. You werenâ€™t, SDW wasnâ€™t, and we werenâ€™t. Shit happens. Itâ€™s his problem, not yours. Everybody here has caught some shit for their subordinateâ€™s failures from peers. Sometimes itâ€™s malicious and personal, but mostly just jabs. Mine was a jab.
