The coldest temp in Greece today is recorded at minus 17 C or plus 1.4 F

It's the freeze from Russia that moved west into Europe. I hope it lasts
for three weeks. All the Hadjis walking around will stay inside.

I had no idea it snowed in Grece, I thought it was like California. Always sunny and mild.

Dam Chris, I feel bad for you; unless you snowski or somthing.

Are the wife and kids staying home to?

Been snow skiing since I was 4! Love the sport.

I drove home tonight in a wild BLIZARD! My brother in-law shoveled the ramp before I got home so that I could drive in. It's about 50 cm already.

Picture in the morning to follow.

Man I can't get my brother to call let alone shovel snow. So just exactly what do you have on him?

He knows I would do the same for him. His wife gives birth next month to their third rug rat, guess he'll need some help us being up stairs and all.

26 Jan 2006 at 08:00. It’s minus 3 C = to 26.6 F. The coldest temp in Greece last night was minus 20 C = to minus 4 F.

The record 20 years ago was minus 22 C = to minus 7.6 F

Anyway for what it’s worth downtown Athens has snow! Not just us up in the hills.

The winds were at GALE to STORM force between 40 and 55 knots.
Most of the snow was blown away otherwise we would have had twice the snow. 8)

Beautiful pictures, Ranger Chiron. Thanks for posting them. Icicles are cool - as a kid my brothers and I always enjoyed playing with them as swords and spears and then eating them like popsicles. Snow is fun to visit and play in, but I'm glad I don't live there anymore. I'll take Florida: we've had frost on the cars once this year so far.

Yesterday I picked a basket of tangerines from my tree and picked up the oranges that had fallen off in the wind this weekend. I spent an hour making a gallon and a half of fresh squeezed juice. 8)

Man it looks beautiful there this year. I am thinking you've gotten our weather as we're in the middle of the warmest winter on record.
