Rangers/others: Did a search on here couldnt find any info on this rifle and asking for some input on a carbine rifle. In short, I want to pick up a carbine for my wife..she tried firing my DPMS M4 variant and didnt care too much for it. She did like shooting a HK UMP .45 when we hit the range. I also checked into the Hi-point 9mm carbine?...other considerations:

Weight of weapon and ammo for her to carry if the shit goes real bad.
Wouldnt be the primary family weapon, but want some decent backup
Doesnt have to be a pistol caliber but noise and recoil are issues.
Price, would like to roll around 600.00 or neighborhood.
Have a boy coming of age that will eventually be expected to shoot it.

Any real world help would be appreciated.

I hope the primary weapon is you. After that a Colt Combat Commander. Then take your choice.
