DEP Intro

Hi my name is Drew and I came to my senses mid-November and enlisted in the Army after being a Marine DEP for about four months. I have an 11X Option 40 contract and ship for OSUT on 2006 12 Jan. I'm looking forward to soaking up as much as I can from some Rangers that have been through it before I make my way to Ft. Benning.

I am curious as to why you are only just now coming here and as to why you wasted so many of my tax dollars and so much of a recruiters precious time in switching (although I recognize your ultimate decision was the correct one, I am just not getting why you didn't know that in the first place or why it took you so fucking long to figure it out?)

You know what, I am thinking that ought to be worth a set of flutter kicks just for making me type all of this... Nope, two sets. Then another after you answer!!!

To address your first question Ranger VAK, I am just now coming here because I have been busting my ass so much between PT and work since I switched branches that I just now have some spare time to do anything besides check my email.

It took me so long to switch because I was very interested in staying with USMC and trying to qualify as recon, BUT the kept screwing around with me and I had to ask them twice to confirm my job when I got back from my trip home this summer and the recruiter that "took care of that" back in May when I signed my open enlistment contract actually didn't do jack shit for me so I did my research and put in my request for separation and joined the Army.

As for the flutter kicks...my coworkers are starting to look at me funny, but it's all good :D
