A Christian Prayer on Christmas Sunday

Post by Bugsy »

Its 0217 here in Oregon and I was thinking about our men and women who are overseas, fighting for our Country,.......and as I sit in my comfortable home enjoying the freedoms of my Country I couldn't help but give thanks to their sacrifice and pray for their protection as they continue to fight to uphold our way of life. For our Soldiers, Contractors,
Allies and Americans who are overseas and are far away from home who are sacrificing their very lives for the freedoms that we enjoy.

In addition I think about our Law Enforcement personnel who patrol our streets and towns to ensure that evil does not endure and that we remain safe day and night, whether it be on our borders, country towns or city streets. For those who would like to join me for I believe in the power of prayer I'd like to pray for those who are not home today with their family and loved ones or who have lost their lives on the field of battle.

Lord on this Sunday when we traditionally honor the birth of your son Jesus Christ, we pray Lord that you bring comfort and a measure of peace within for the men and women who serve our Country and the families who support them. We ask in the name of Jesus that you bless these Americans and others who defend our nation. We pray lord that you protect them and bless them as they perform their duties to the best of their ability.

Lord we ask in the name of Jesus that you bring some measure comfort to the families who have suffered tragic losses during this year father God. We pray Lord that you bring joy to their hearts as difficult as it may seem, knowing that their sacrifice was not in vein during this day that we honor and celebrate the birth of your son.

Deliver us from the evil entity that continues to manifest its ugly head in our world Lord. We pray Lord for our men and women who are overseas and at home who are fighting for our country, we pray that you keep your hedge of protection upon them and help them to do their job and the task at hand to the best of their ability.

Finally Lord we ask that you give those who have been put in charge the ability to find those who hate our way of life and beliefs against our people father God. We ask that you allow us to find them and that your holy wrath of vengeance come upon them with all the fury and might that you can provide. We believe in the name of Jesus that this evil will not prevail over us, we believe in your power and might, we believe in the father almighty, we believe that good will always triumph over evil, and we will continue to believe in you lord God, in Jesus name we pray.... Amen.
