hi, i am enlisting in the Army... my desire is to make it to special forces... by the time i ship out, i will be a college graduate, but i am not going as a comissioned officer because i want 18x... right now my recruiter offered me 18x with a $16,000 signing bonus... should i take it? or should i go in as 11x with option 40 and special intent for SF? which would be a better decision for me?
any comments would help, thanks

Thank you, Ranger Tater Nuts. I have also searched the forums for the answer to another question but have not found an answer... Is it possible to get an Option 40 on an 18x contract? If so, would that mean if I fail the SF assesment, I would get sent to RIP instead of the 82nd?
or should I have asked that question in a new thread?

You fail you go wherever the Army sends you. So don't fail.
