Just got back from a training exercise this weekend and time has been
very stringent around here. My attempts to find proof of the photograph
and incident have been to no success. I am trying to get an email of the
article in the newspaper and the link to which you may find the picture
from the newspaper. I will get it to you as soon as I receive it.

I saw this same picture in an old newspaper clipping in an antique shop in Blanket, Texas two weeks ago, taped near the front door. The old gentleman who owns the shop is a genuinely good person. He is good friends with my wife's family.
I made a point of asking him about the photo. He named the individuals in the photo (all 3 of them), told me where they lived (one lives in Dublin, Tx, one in Commanche, and I don't recall the where the other lives).
According to the article, this snake was captured about 30 miles from my town. The article also stated that the photo had made the rounds on the internet with bogus locations attached.
Since I know the old man at the antique store and I don't know our Plebe.....I have to believe the old man. In that case, there is no way he was present when this photo was taken.
