My latest scam that I keep repeatedly getting involves ebay. They claim that someone has been accessing my ebay account from a foreign country and could be using my credit card info etc through paypal. The letter looks like ebay security and all they need is for me to verify my name, credit card info, the security code on the back of the credit card, expiration date, address, etc. to ensure the safety of my account. YEAH RIGHT!!!

It's called a 419 scam and they're very prevelant. As Ranger Chiron has said, these guys are serious if they get a hold of you (which none of us has to worry about!). There is a group of people out there who make it their business to screw with these guys. If they think you're serious, they'll do a lot to get your money. And since many of them don't really speak English - well, lets just say it can be fun! Usually they get said scum bag to pose with a sign to, say, verify they (said scumbags) are real people. Again, they will do amazing things if they think you're buying their story!

So we need to take Ranger Silverback's excellent email and reduce it to a sign we can get them to pose with. Either as simple as: "Rangers Lead The Way!" or something like: "Please send Rangers to reap my soul!"
Funny how many are civil servants/ in line to the throne / disposed generals who need cash up front in order to get hold of millions stashed somewhere!!
A British guy replied to one, posing as a church, saying he would love to help the Prince of this tinpot country get his fathers money back to help the people and actually persuaded them to put up money first for admin, flight tickets etc... he scammed the scammers!
I’ve gotten quite a few of these emails before. A few friends of mine foward me the really funny ones and the ones that they respond to. It's entertainment now, lol.
