I have been using my Blade-tech holster for two to three months. I've enjoyed it. Nice clean draw. Holds tight to the body.
Maybe not as quiet as Leather when drawing, but if you're going to draw on someone, it probably doesn't matter about the little noise drawing makes if you're intention is to shoot. Better to train, train, train on drawing and acquiring.
The holster and the loops in the Blade-tech are all made from a single piece of high-density plastic or nylon type material.
As to my pistol, it has the rails on the front, and Galco didn't make one for it. Milt Sparks makes a leather holster that is designed for rails, but I had already purchased the Blade-tech so I have not gotten a leather one yet. I may try a leather one later, but for now, this one works just fine.

I use the Galco for my Glock 27. I roll the holster around so it sits on my belt just forward of my back pocket. The purpose is that if you are getting robbed chances are the guy will have the drop on ya. BUT HE'S IN FOR ONE HELLUVA SURPRISE WHEN YOU PULL OUT YOUR GUN NOT YOUR WALLET!

BladeTech was the only place we could find a holster made for the USP Expert with UTL. RsovRanger loves his. I have the Tek-Lok on mine for my USP Compact, which is nice so I don't have to take my belt off to remove it. Their customer service sucks, but I like the products.

Actually, my holster selection depends on several factors...
1) Weather, which results in what I am wearing. Some times in Houston, it's so freakin hot I wanna wear shorts, so my selection is my Kimber Ultra CDP II in an inside the waistband Galco (leather). If it's a little cooler, I may wear that or my Galco thumb-break FBI-style (leather) for the Kimber or my USP .40 Compact. During winter, when I can wear a coat, its either those or my USP/Fobus combo.
2) How long am I gonna be carrying. If its a quick run to the store, I throw in the Kimber/Galco inside the waistband or the Fobus with my USP.
3) The event. If it is an event that requires a jacket, I NORMALLY wear my FBI style/USP .40. If I can throw on a tank top and a T-shirt, I will probably have my Kimber/Galco.
4) Other... I may get a wild hair up my ass and carry my tricked Colt .45 in a Yaki holster, or my Walther P99 depending on situation, weather, etc.
ps. You know if you let a Glock (yuck) go to full gestation, you get an HK ?

Draco hit on a lot of the same areas I consider when making a choice.
My primary weapon is a Glock 22C. I have a Streamlight for the rail, but carry it separately.
When on duty, the Safariland LPO Easy Draw (level II) is the daily rig.
When casual, I use an Aker flatsider belt rig. I have tried pancake rigs and don't care for them, including Fobus. As previously mentioned, if you use a slotted belt rig, make sure you get a belt with the reinforced polymer insert. Several companies sell them.
If it's cold and I'm doing a U/C gig, I either use a Galco shoulder rig or a Galco IWB. This thing does away with the belt slots and uses a polymer J-hook to retain it. It's a hell of a lot easier to situate, is more comfortable than some other IWB rigs I've had and is a lot less bulky. Depends on if I'm going to be wearing a jacket or not. If it's just a LS shirt, the IWB is the choice.
Concealment, accessibility, ease of draw, retention, and comfort all play a role. In the end, the best factor to consider is the one you're both confident and comfortable with, METT-T in effect.
DS, the one you probably want for wear with shorts is posted below. I have the Belly Band I use for my primary B/U (NAA .380 Guardian)
Masters of concealment sells both.
