Week 5-
Am I still alive? First I get a 25 minute phone call, then I come upstairs and we get to listen to the Drill Sergeants Stereo! He showed up in a baseball cap and blue jeans. It's really weird because I thought we were getting smoked today. Yesterday we had 2 fights in our platoon. Drill sergeant said "Stop fighting dicks" and left.

I just got to hear Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Everyone is fighting over rock vs. rap, but I dont care. I'm just glad I get to hear some music. Some guys told their families to send cookies and we got to eat them last night because we choked out second platoon in GFT.

A question for the Rangers of the 75th Regiment - Does the 75th Ranger Regiment do a lot of GFT or do they have their own fighting style?
Last week we took our 2nd PT Test. I did 48 pushups - 78 situps - and ran the 2 mile in 13:47. My overall score was 257. I got fourth highest score in my platoon overall and number one highest score on situps.

The M4's are great guns and real accurate and reliable. We shot all day Tues. and Wed. from 9am - 9 pm. We shot pop up targets at 75 meters, 150 meters and 300 meters. I did good and hit 31 out of 40. I'm starting to get used to this gun and am sure I'll be damn good by next week. My mind is going to be completely focused on shooting so I can qualify as sharpshooter.

Bob Dylans "Knocking on Heavans Door" is on right now. Great Music! AC/DC "You Shook Me All Night Long" This is awesome.

Hey Kelli! I take it this must be your son? Well, though it must be nice to hear from him, and I am so very glad to hear he is doing well... I am shocked about the music thing...

No doubt, this must be the first easy OSUT rotation.

Great SITREP,

Is qualification done with an M4 now instead of an M16? I'm buying a new AR-15 soon still debating between 16" or HBAR.

Joedan, This thread isn't about what rifle you are planning on buying next. Start your own thread or shut the fuck up!
