Security clearance

Hi, I would really apreciate some help from the experts here, I read the FAQ and you say as a resident alien I cannot get an option 40 contract because of security clearance.

My recruiter told me today that a resident alien can hold a secret clearance, was he just blowing smoke, looking to "see if he can find me something else i might be interested in" when this turns out to be BS down the line.
