Well, good morning sunshine. Glad that you're partially awake around here.

Option 40 is a shot at RIP, followed by assignment to Regiment should you're unattentive ass be so lucky as to graduate.

11X is simply the fact that you'll be an Infantryman or a Mortarman. Both are grunts.

Should you have the first two in your contract, then you don't even need to mention BAC.

Oh yeah....

see, what I said was:

fuck that, start last week.

no offence CSM. yeah, got it CSM, back to the office, got it.

and SFC Hit_it, nice sig. Good to know sometimes things can work out and they got yer back :D :D
I was gonna comment about how that particular office was treating you, but you seem to be in high spirits.

Thanks for the sig comment. They are actually attempting to take care of me. They fought to keep me from being converted (thank God) and they are fighting to keep me from getting extended again.

I was supposed to start clearing this past Monday.

well, the comment about the office was initially a reference to jobs and lanes, as in I should get back in mine.

but, I have spent the last two days in the office and not the cockpit because I've been spending 20-25 hrs/week flying for about 6 weeks. As a result, our IETFs are sloppy, DES is doing an assist Monday, and we didn't want to look bad. the records were really sloppy because of a unit move, SEP fielding (off schedule and delayed), and a total ATP waiver for everyone who moved, but no waiver for new guys who showed up here (yet) and haven't been completely integrated. we also basically self-started here, so about 80% of all the legal/regulatory issues are really gray. so things were painfull the last two days.

I knew what you meant, sir.

You sound like you're going to have your hands full since you have records jacked, and half an ATP up and running.

Any reason why FNGs will not have an ATP waiver for the time being?

I had heard this before and found it odd that new pilots in country would have to go through complete RL progression. Seems to me that the focus would be missions or am I incorrect?

the records weren't completely jacked, just had to be scrubbed really close to make sure all the entries were right based on what's been going on.

we don't have a new waiver on the FNGs, because we don't have an O6 authority until next month, even through we've been here two months. long messed up story. we are an independent Sqdn, with no BDE. we were originally going to work for the Dep. Corps CDR (MG), and the Garrison CDR as our O6 authority. That got dropped, not sure why. Then we were shopped around to be aligned under one of the post BDEs, and they settled on a Medical BDE for some reason. Finally, we are going to fall under the 66th AVN BDE, WAANG here at Camp Murray and have a BG for the authority. That still feels messed up to me, but they didn’t ask me.

As far as Progressions, depends on the unit and AO/threat. They need some kind of progression. There have been WOJGs go over and CDR eval in Kuwait or even Iraq. They need an RL3 prog. Everyone needs a RL2 for unit SOP, TTP integration at least. As an IP, I will never sign off a previous PC/IP/whatever without some kind prog/eval, regardless of theater. Most IPs feel that way. Got a new PC to the unit who just got back from Afghanistan who I will PC eval next week. He’s getting a full APART ride basically, because we ID’d one weakness during his LAO. So that’s how it goes. I’ll never just give somebody the keys without knowing they are g2g. I’m also doing a thorough refresher on my new SP cause he’s been in 58Cs at Rucker for several years.
