Over There

Is this TV show airing and if so, how accurate is it?

I saw an article about it in Army Times and I was curious to hear if it was any good.

The reviews I have heard are liberal horseshit. Sounds like someone watched Full Metal Jacket first.

I have it TiVo'd. Will watch it this weekend and decide myself.

I thought it was good enough to watch the rest of the episodes, although it is a little cheesy. Rescue Me is still the best FX show, in my opinion.

Malarkey,
Please read the original question and then immediately close your mouth. It appears to me that the person originating the thread was interested in a comparison of the "Real" war against the "War" being shown on TV. At no time did he ask for your fucking opinion of TV shows.

In my experience war is a lot less dramatic than it is portrayed on TV, People don't die in slow motion.

It seemed to me that the characters were fake. Joes don't talk to eachother like that in real life. But I do like the SGT Scream character. Reminds me of one of my teamleaders. I think the show is just way too hollywood.

LOL Agreed, but it sure as hell seems like slow motion when you've got rockets smacking up against your hooch...

Mortars are the "Time Slower downers" that I came to dislike. The rockets never bothered me too much.

According to "Over There", it's okay for PFC's and PV2's to question their tabbed, E-6 SL in the middle of a fight. After knowing him for about three minutes.
