Rangers and Servicemen

My name is Jim and I am 26 years old. I graduated May 2004 with a B.S. in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. I am currently considering joining the Army. My reasons are:

1) I don’t want to be that person who says “I love my countryâ€

You're tracking.

Take the Option 40 and accept nothing less as anything else will be something less.

Besides, it's more fun hanging with the gate guards than rubbing shoulders with the Emperor any day. (enlisted vs commission)

You can always go that route if you want a Mercedes later on.

Good luck.

Great intro. It's your call on which route to take. Naturally, we're all pulling for the Option 40. Welcome and good luck to you.
