Apparently not Kire-Nala. If you DID understand, you would have either:Kire-Nala wrote:Understood!!
A) Not replied at all
or
B) Since you felt the need to spew to the Rangers again, something to the effect of "I understand Ranger Kilted Heathen, Ranger Bugsy, Ranger Tenn-RGR, and Ranger Centermass. I'm a dipshit that can't follow instructions. Beating my face for every reply in this thread."
Follow their advice and read the threads. All of them.

Here you go.Kire-Nala wrote:Understood!!
Research the 95th Rifles and post 1500 words on Napoleonic Infantry and the tactical role of Light Infantry at Waterloo and Peninsula and the applied doctrine of skirmishers.
Briefly address the origins of Green Jacket Infantry and the meaning of the word Sergeant.
If you have properly researched you'll have no problem enlightening us as to why todays Royal Green Jackets spell Sergeant with a J.
GO!
You have twenty four hours.
Congratulations motherfucker...you get to audition.
Now, low-crawl out of my presence and get busy.

Each company of Napolean's light infantry was commanded by captain and divided into 2 sections. when skirmishing it was divided into 3 sections. They were left, right and center. The left and right had their bayonets removed on the when on the skirmish line. The center section did not remove their bayonets. Their primary target were the enemy officer's, gunners, and skirmishers.
A company would first march 200 paces away from the battalion when sent in to act as skirmishers. The left and right section would march forward a 100 paces while the center acted as a reserve. The skirmeshers would were always in twos and fired one at a time so that one was always loaded. the intervals between the twos would be 15 paces. They would use just about everything in sight as cover. When the skirmishers were out in the open field and threatened by cavalry, they would form what was called a clump, or a circle, rallying on the center section that was in the rear.
